Principal
Dr. Walker-Hood is our most veteran school administrator with 23 years of experience in District 111.  She has served as Principal at Maddock, Burbank, and McCord Schools.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Chicago State University as well as a Master of Arts in Education Administration from Governors State University.  She also has a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Chicago State University.  Dr. Walker-Hood will now be serving as a District Principal providing guidance and support to all our schools.  Some areas of focus will include family involvement, teacher & staff evaluations, arrival & dismissal procedures, curriculum, and professional development.  Dr. Walker-Hood is looking forward to her new role in the district and is eager to share her knowledge and insight.

Young Authors Contest

The Young Authors Contest promotes writing and creativity by encouraging children to write an original story and present it in book form. The contest is open to all students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Submissions are due Thursday, January 8.

Parent Teacher Conferences / Thanksgiving Break / IL School Report Card

Happy November! Please review the schedule for next week. Monday, November 24 is a half-day of attendance. Elementary students will be released at 11:15 am and junior high students will be released at 11:45 am. The early childhood/pre-k AM session will attend. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held in the afternoon and evening of November 24 and 25. There is no school for the remainder of the week due the Thanksgiving Holiday.
