Principal
Dr. Lyman is returning to the Chicagoland area this year and will join the District 111 Team as Principal of Maddock School.  Her experience includes 8 years of teaching and 10 years of administrative experience.  For the past two years, Dr. Lyman has served as Principal in Roosevelt School District 66 in Phoenix, Arizona.  Prior to leaving the state, Dr. Lyman served as an Elementary School Principal in Cicero School District for six years.  She also has experience as an Assistant Principal and PBIS Program Supervisor.  Dr. Lyman holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary and Middle School Education from Eastern Illinois University, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Lewis University and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership/Superintendency from the University of St. Francis.  Dr. Lyman’s focus is to build genuine relationships and help Maddock Students grow academically, emotionally, physically and socially to build a foundation for their success in life.

Young Authors Contest

The Young Authors Contest promotes writing and creativity by encouraging children to write an original story and present it in book form. The contest is open to all students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Submissions are due Thursday, January 16.

We are excited to announce a major update regarding the food services for our district. As of November, Arbor Management Inc. joined the Whitsons Culinary Group Family of Companies! This transition brings many exciting changes, including a new menu with delicious options and a revamped marketing program that will be rolled out over the next few months.

Preschool Screening

District 111 provides development screenings for children ages 3 and 4 living within the boundaries of Burbank, Illinois. Developmental screenings typically assess a child's skill in areas such as language, motor development, self-help and emotional development. If a child is identified as a risk, further evaluation and support may be recommended. The next preschool screening will be held at McCord Early Learning Center on February 19, 2025.
