Principal
Dr. Lyman is returning to the Chicagoland area this year and will join the District 111 Team as Principal of Maddock School.  Her experience includes 8 years of teaching and 10 years of administrative experience.  For the past two years, Dr. Lyman has served as Principal in Roosevelt School District 66 in Phoenix, Arizona.  Prior to leaving the state, Dr. Lyman served as an Elementary School Principal in Cicero School District for six years.  She also has experience as an Assistant Principal and PBIS Program Supervisor.  Dr. Lyman holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary and Middle School Education from Eastern Illinois University, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Lewis University and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership/Superintendency from the University of St. Francis.  Dr. Lyman’s focus is to build genuine relationships and help Maddock Students grow academically, emotionally, physically and socially to build a foundation for their success in life.

E-Learning Day January 21

Due to the dangerous wind chills forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21 will be an E-Learning Day for students. Students in Kindergarten through grade 5 should log onto Microsoft Teams to start their day at 8:25 am. Liberty students, grades 6 through 8, should log onto Microsoft Teams to begin first period at 9:00 am. Teachers in the early childhood / preschool program will reach out to parents & guardians with instructions.

Liberty Alumni Success

Chicago Fire FC and the U.S. Soccer Federation announced that Homegrown Player Brian Gutiérrez, a proud Liberty Junior High School alumnus, has been called up to the U.S. Men’s National Team for U.S. Soccer’s annual January Camp. This prestigious call-up is a testament to Brian's hard work and talent, and the entire community couldn't be prouder of his achievement! Training camp begins January 7 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, with the USMNT opening its 2025 schedule against 2024 Copa America quarterfinalists Venezuela on January 18 at Chase Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale. Kickoff for the USA’s first match of the year is set for 2 p.m. CT. District 111 and the entire community will be cheering Brian on!
